I Have An Old Computer I Want To Upgrade I Have A Pentium 2 If You Know What I Mean (old) Well I Was Thinking Why Not Suck The Life Out Of It Getting A Better Motherboard And Overclocking It But I Am New At This So What You Guys Recommend.

Another Thing I Need A New Video Card , Sound Card I Migth Need To Change My Hdd But I Don't Know If There Expensive If Not Ill Add .

Any Help Trying To Configure This Old Comp I Will Appreaciate

ALSO WHAT WOULD I NEED FOR MAKING A GOOD OC I KNOW ONE THING IS MOBO MIGTH BE HDD ANOTHER (CONFUSED)

MY CASE IS 7/16 INCH'S

ALSO I JUST WANT TO PLAY RUNESCAPE WITH NO ALTERNATIVE LAGG

looking at what you want, you may want to consider just buying a new pc...
but if youre looking into playing runscape with no lag a good internet connection is required as well as an okay computer....
 
Ok Then Build It For Me
AND I HAVE DSL PRO WICH IS UP FROM 1.5 TO 3.0
CAN I FIND GOOD DEALS ON EBAY AND IS IT TRUSTFULL?
 
ok so theres no problem with your internet connection lol...
have you looked into cheap computers you can get them for about £300 for a pretty decent computer for using the new and would run runescape fine....
 
Where are you located ?
if in the usa I would recommend newegg . I just put together a 2.5 ghz celeron and mainboard for under $100 + $30 for 256 of ddr ram. The mainboard supports both PATA and SATA hard drives. You might as well get a case too with power supply.
 
i forgot what the mainboard was, i think it was an ECS, just make sure it has audio / vid / lan... what ever you need and that a celeron cpu will work with.

crucial makes really good ram
NOTE::: you have to make sure these are compatible, I can not check right now.... 6 minutes till the weekend starts,,, you know what I mean ?:cool:
 
you have to read the specs of the mainboard, like what processors it will run, ram, if it has onboard vid or a AGP slot, pc express or pc epress and onboard vid ( usually onboard vid is not good enough to play current games ) or what ever, then you have to find a processor that will work with the mainboard, ram ( what type DDR ?...or ?), vid card.... etc
do not forget to read the write ups past buyers of the hardware have left for you to read.... they are those gold colored buttons at the bottom to click on.
you have to take the write ups with a grain of salt, some break the hardware and say that it was the way it was designed or whatever. Also check out the cd/ dvd burners, the nec 3550a is like $36. Becarefull though if you do buy a burner, only consider, nec. lg, LaCie, plextor, pioneer
