ok ive just finished building my comp, and ive just went to turn it all on, but the monitor wont pick up a signal, whats going on, the comp turns on and everything fine, can anyone help me??

is gpu connected properly, are you sure its plugded all the way in. Do the fans on the x800xt (from sig) start spining.
Is the monitor plugged in correctly, can you test the monitor / gpu on another rig

the fan spins on the gfx card, the plugs are all in right. on the monitor i press the input and it goes finding d-sub....then it goes connection not found. with the dfi board, does it matter what pcie port you have it in? should i get the gfx out of the other comp and try it?

Do both. Then, rather than throwing guesses at what the problem can be, we cay say 'it's not that' and 'its not that either', so 'it that must be the problem'.

i cant try the gfx card from the other comp because it is a VGA on and it dont fit my board. so im kinda stuck, could there be anything that i havent pluged in right inside the case that is makin it screw up?

how can i check if my vid card is screwed, does the fan still work if its faulty? i really want to get this comp up and going.

reset cmos then try.
if not time to hook up only the bare minimum. do you have an onboard monitor port?
try that first, if not. unplug everything except one stick of ram, the gpu, and heatsink fan, and your swpower.
try switching ram around.
if not,
take mobo out, put it on a static bag, hook up only your gpu, 1 stick of ram, heatsink fan, plug it to the psu and jumpstart with a small screw driver touching the two sw power pins. don't forget to plug in your monitor.
could be your mobo is grounded out.
if it still don't post you've narrowed it down to, cpu, gpu, psu, and mobo.
if your cpu is the same socket as your other system try it in there.
try using your other psu.
good luck
