Need ideas for laptop 700$

All right, so im looking for a laptop for 700$ or less. Maybe put on a recording program for making music(guitars bass drums vocals and so on), Internet, and a game or two. Anyone have ideas. Something fast thats not going to take a long time to load programs. Thanks
 
Which games would you like to run? The HP dv5 series isn't too bad, but you can't run good games on it. Check out the Dell Vostros in their business section and their inspirons in their home section, then you can upgrade them some.
 
im not sure, age of empires, counter strike 1.6, warcraft looks cool, but ive never played it. Im not a big pc gamer so it doesnt have to be an awesome gaming system. Id like to find something with the wireless built in so i can just sync it straight to a network like from home or hotels
 
Then, if you don't mind a second hand one you could get an alienware for $400 in the classifieds. If you want a new one look at the hp dv5 for 579 or you can upgrade if you want
