Need laptop help

I would suggest two things, but they aren't for everyone.
1- Once you get a your new Laptop reformatted with all your apps installed, use a program like Acronis True Image and back up an image of the drive. You'll always have a prestine image without having to install windows and all your apps again. It takes about 15 minutes to reinstall your backup copy. You will have to backup any files you save locally ofcourse before reinstallation.

2- Use DeepFreeze. It can be a pain if you store things locally on your PC, but if you have a network and/or save everything on external drives, this option can be great. Only problem with deepfreeze is absolutley no changes made on your PC are saved once you reboot. If you change the volume, change a word in the file, save a new webpage, ANYTHING, it's lost when you reboot. You must reboot and unthaw to save changes. Once unthawed, all changes are saved , then reboot to freeze again. So it's not for everyone. But it's the greatest program in the world if you don't want to worry about spyware and viruses etc. You can download and install anything you want. I use it a lot to download free apps to test them. All you do is reboot, and you back to a clean state.
You can download a trial which last a few months:
