We are buying 2 Laptops, one for me and one for my girlfriend and want to make sure they are good before we buy. We don't need incredible/top of the line, but really want decent, easy to use and reliable.

She really only uses hers for the internet and her iPod, but that's about it. She wants the Sony Vaio VGN-CR220E/P

The HP dv2660se Special Edition (Black/Bronze) is for me. I use my computer a lot but don't play any games. 99% of the time I've got Firefox open with 4 or 5 tabs/webpages, have Photoshop open working on something basic, have a folder open looking at some pics and occasionally will be streaming, downloading or uploading some music. I want the HP dv2660se.

SO, ANYONE ABLE TO GIVE ME ANY FEEDBACK I MAY NEED TO KNOW BEFORE I PULL THE TRIGGER? ANY REVIEWS GOOD OR BAD ON EITHER OF THESE? THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ANY REVIEWS, FEEDBACK, RESPONSES, ADVICE OR INFO.

Thank you! I'm not kind of thinking about 2 of those Sony Vaio's because the HP battery is somewhat annoying it seems. I'm not crazy about it sticking out of the bottom and being big and clunky like that. Also, the reviews I've checked out everywhere seem to speak very highly of the Sony and I've seen a few which indicate the HP has a long start-up time and possibly some wireless issues.

Not sure. This is so hard to figure out!

Having had what was supposed to get a good laptop and having nothing but issues with it (Toshiba Satellite), I worry about not getting the best thing I can for myself, my needs and my money.

Thank you again all for the assistance!

From my experiences with my father and brother's laptops and some of my friends, HP is horrible and Sony is not much better. I have heard good things about Toshibas but they may be wrong. I am highly considering getting a lenovo for about $1,100 in a few months.
