Ok, quick summary:

Last Saturday I bought THIS graphics card off of Newegg.com:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814143032

I bought it because I dont have an AGP slot and this was cheap and had great reviews.

Today, just about 10 minutes ago the UPS man delivered the package to me. I open the box up to see that Newegg.com Sent me THIS graphics card:

http://www.academicsuperstore.com/m...l?PartNo=743771

Ok, now assuming that PCI Express is backwards compatible AND it actually works in my computer.....

Should I keep the one they sent me and keep my mouth shut or send it back.

Basically, which is the better card? Throw out morals, ideal and whatever. Whats the best card assuming i hook this up and it actually works on my normal PCI slot.

Here are some of my thoughts:

1. DOnt even know if it works yet. Its PCI express and i only have old school PCI. i did read that it was backwards compatible a while back but I will only know in a bit.

2. If it does work, would the drop off in performance from it having to work like an OLD PCI slot card make it worse than the card i originally ordered?

3. its like.....a PROFESSIONAL editing videocard. Would that be good for games? Im thinking YES because its prolly used to make them but Im not big into knowing the specs of hardware to even know!!?

I dunno, i just wanna know if this thing is THAT much better that i should just keep it if it works. If its even a debate Im gonna send it back. However, something in me says to keep it for use or keep it to sell on ebay and RE-buy my original card and pocket the rest.

HAHA, Im a bad seed.

HAHA, j/k.

ps...here is another link. i think it gives more info:

Thanks guys/gals.

1. A PCI Express video card will not fit in a standard PCI slot
2. Your links are bad, so it's difficult to tell you any more, except that you'd be hard pressed to find a PCI video card as expensive as that Quadro, and that Quadro's aren't designed for gaming.

like ceewi1 said. your links dont work except for the third one. and you PCI-E is not backwards compatible to PCI becuase it wouldnt even fit. you could try it but it wouldnt fit unless you make it fit;)

also wat is your budget and mobo specs?

btw
pls guys if you dont have anything useful to say then dont say anything at all..
