Need Major Help Now

OK today after i installed Battlefield 2142 Demo and played and got bored, i tried to play America's Army. But all i would get is the little logo thing popping up but it would never load. So i restarted several times but still a no-go. Then after a restart when trillian was starting up i kept getting errors about my skin, so i changed to normal and still got problems. then i got a pop-up bubble but my time, and it said to use the chkdsk utility. So i did that and it said it fixed errors but then i restarted and got the trillian error again. so then i tried to do a windows repair install but when i put in my SP2 slipstreamed CD and went to the Install Windows part it said that a HDD could not be detected and to Exit Windows Install. So i did that and tried restarting over and over again to get a system restore in a Safe Mode i got that Windows couldn't restore to Friday. So then i tried restore in regular windows(which took awhile to figure out since after loading windows didnt want to load ANY programs, even virus and spyware). then i got it up and tried to restore to last Sunday(1st) and still a no-go. then i got it into safe mode again and did a virus scan, spyware scan(with Adaware and Spybot S&D) and they found some but just tracking cookies and MRU list. But then looking at my AVg virus scan, at the very top it had to Read errors. 1 was on my MBR, and the other on my Boot sector, both for C:/ which is my 250GB SATA.


I have no idea wats going on and it just recently started to do this after i played BF 2142. ill try and unistall that and see if it works but im not sure thats the problem.


PS concerning the MBR and Boot sector errors, im having no problem booting to windows but im just having problems once in windows. Firefox still works on regular windows but everything else is just slow or just wont load.


PSS right now im on Safe Mode with Networking

I'd guess a failing hard drive, maybe some bad sectors developed in some key areas... I'd go ahead and back up what you can get off the drive, but probably wait for some other opinions before you run out and get another drive or anything

ok well believe it or not i unistalled Trillian in safe mode, and it seems to be fine now, except it dont do system restore


also i pretty much did a full run through with TuneUp Utilities 2006, which might of fixed it.


but i still dont think its not perfect


it seems when i restarted form a crash(hard restart) i get a lot of chkdsk actions that it checks my HDD for inconsistencies nad durring that it deleted all of my bookmarks in Firefox

well i got my bookmarks back from mozzila backup it makes for everyday

Also redid a virus scan it the boot sector and MBR are "-Ok-"
