Need new Mobo and RAM

So I'm in the market for a new Motherboard (Fried old one, everything else is working)
Here's what I have for specs:
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache

Cooler Master HAF 912

Powercolor Radeon HD6850

AMD FX-6100

OCZ ZS Series 750W

Samsung DVD burner

CORSAIR Vengeance 4Gb DDR3 1600

I have no problem with having a micro-atx motherboard, as long as it won't bottleneck any of these things. I don't really plan on upgrading, as I might sell this to my friend at the end of the summer and build a whole new one. A few of the micro-atx motherboards I've seen only go up to 1333 ram, but I believe the 1600 I have will just default back to 1333. So what I was hoping was for one of you kind people will suggest to me the best motherboard and hopefully another 4gb of ram that will work with my setup. My max is hopefull $150 with taxes and shipping included.

PS - I'm in canada, so if you could, search on newegg.ca or tigerdirect.ca or other canadian sites.

Thanks a bunch,
Wil.

Get a cheaper PSU (Corsari 550W will be fine) and spend more on an intel system.

Spend more money on an intel system when he already has a plenty capable AMD processor for gaming? You never seem to realize not all of us can afford top of the line Intel systems, especially when it's gaming. You don't need it for gaming. AMD is fine.

The FX-6100 is shit. Slower than older gen AMD. Sell it and use the money to buy the motherboard below, and spend your $150 on the 2100, same price, faster.

Motherboard $69

CPU - $125

Way faster.

This guy does not want options on a new intel system, he wants a mobo and ram. Your better off Spending the money on graphics instead of a intel processor.

How bout this, spend $60 on a motherboard, and have a ok AMD system?

You have no idea.

He never said he doesn't want Intel, he only said he wants a new mobo. If you're going to spend up to $150 on a mobo then you're better off selling the AMD chip, and going to a 1155 board with a 2500K or 2100. Faster, same cost, and more upgradability. Just because a couple of school kids cannot afford it, doesn't mean that the OP doesn't want 'out of the box' thinking.

Going from a 6100 to an i3 will not gain an increase in FPS in games paired with a 6850. The guy is giving this computer to his friend. All he wants is a new motherboard and RAM. He is not keeping the computer, so why needlessly upgrade it and sell it to his friend?

If you are on a tight budget, you have no idea.

YOu're not too sharp are you? ITS THE SAME COST! Except you get a much better platform.

And a sandy will stomp a 6100 in gaming. So if he is planning on upgrading in Summer, then a 2500K will make a very cheap upgrade then. Stupid buying a new mobo for that CPU when the same financial input will yeild much higher return, stupid.

Its $60 for a motherboard, in gaming the 6100 is just fine, the i3 isent really much of a upgrade, and hes giving it to a friend. Why bother?

You're making that decision for him. Hes giving it to a friend because hes considering upgrading later. He can do it now for the same cost. How about we let the OP decide. He may choose the AMD route, fine, but it would be a mistake.

If you're suggesting all this change it would be more effective to sell the 6100 and the 6850, get a 965 and a better card such as a 6870. That would give you more FPS than the 2100 route. The card is much more limiting than the CPU for gaming.

Bigfella, I think he already has the cpu. So if he went the Intel route, he would actually have to spend $125 more than just a amd motherboard, as he would have to get a Intel cpu.

He said to sell the 6100 to pay for the i3, but he probably wont get enough to pay for it.
