I really don't think its worth upgrading, and you might would have to buy a new windows disk if you change the motherboard ($115). Is the only reason you want to upgrade is for more ram, or is it dead? With that system 1.5Gb is more than enough with XP.

im pretty sure you mobo can handle 2GB because the max they can handle is usually like 2GB, 4GB or 8GB never half denomination...

so you dont really need to change your mobo if you dont want to...

otherwise, some of the good mobo are
GIGABYTE P35-DS3R found here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128050

any nForce 680i mobo, like from
ASUS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131073
or
EVGA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188012

these are the latest... im sure other people will be able to suggest other mobo that might suit your need better...

hope this helps, :)

*EDIT*
I forgot to mention that the online store that I posted only deliver to US areas only... if you are outside US, you would need to find other online store or your local computer shop... others will be able to help you on this one as I am that familiar in this matter...

its dead lol, and i dunno much about motherboards so soz if i sounded abit retarded haha, but thx for the items ill look now.

cheers

You need it to be compatible with your current hardware right? There no point in getting those "top of the line" motherboards he listed with what you have now, i don't think its compatible anyway. (I can't remember what socket the P4's are??)
