Need new PSU.. suggestions?

Hey there,
My PSU is giving out and i need to replace it. Was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of a quality unit as im not too familiar with them. My system is as shown below except the motherboard is actually a MSI K9 Neo V3.
I am on a budget of between $150-200 approx. Also i live in Australia so just remember a $200 PSU on newegg will cost alot more over here!:(

EDIT: My last PSU was a Corsair 550w, so im thinking i might need more than 550?
 
A 600 or 700 watt PSU would be a better choice. Your current brand is fine, but fact of the matter is even the "cheaper" psu's are just as good as the pricey ones.
 
I wouldnt get one of those. Head down to msy and get a thermaltake or antec brands off the shelves they are alot cheaper than anywhere else and being 200 dollars you can get alot!
 
With that hardware, any name brand unit with 500w is plenty, there really in no reason for you to get anything more. I am a fan of Antec power supplies, always been great to me, never had any issues over the years and the builds I have done for other people. I am not really sure where the best place to buy in Australia is but I have seen some members use this place. This one will be fine...modular cables and it fits in your budget nicely.

There's no way the system in your sig can even come close to 550 watts. Whatever reason your PSU is dying, it's not due to the load. Your system draws maybe 300 something watts max. You can try getting the kill-a-watt, which costs about $20, which will tell you how much power your computer draws from the outlet.
 
Your hardware is similar to mine, and I am running a 350W just fine.

Maybe your PSU was getting dirty power or something?
 
I have no clue why it would have given out, its under a year old. Im guessing it was either simply defective or was affected by heat as it gets pretty hot around here (my ambient temperatures are significantly higher than most i have read on this forum).

What a load of bs, this guy has no clue!

You require a minimum of 26A on the 12V rail for a PCIe gpu system. So to make it easy go for a single rail 12V psu, otherwise you need to determine if the psu you buy has EPS12 rating or not. If not (i.e. only ATX 2.2.), you need to factor in that 12V+1 (usually) is dedicated to the CPU, leaving the other 12V rails to power everything else.

BTW wattage has nothing to do with it... and that 550W Corsair is probably still under warranty.
