Need new psu.

Well the time has come where I have the money to get a new psu.

A member here had contacted me in pm's once and sent me the link to a great psu but I can't remember which it was.

The psu was like 154$ or around there.

Any good suggestions?

The best bang for the buck right now seems to be the Antec Trio Rail TP-3 650 watt PSU which is really a Seasonic rebadged (seasonic is pure top shelf)

they are around $110.00 or lower on newegg wicked quiet too!

the real horsepower is the Seasonic S-12 600 watt but it will be real close to your budget of $150.00 ?????? thats cadalliac unit

same with Corsair HX 620 (also by seasonic)

Thermal take Tough power 650 watt

all the above are 85% efficient at rated at 50C case temps >>>>> no games for these units; just real power

Some great options there, although if you're going the Seasonic route I'd take the newer S-12 Energy+ or M12 units over the older S12 series.

The Antec TPIII-650 is worth considering as a budget 'bang for the buck' unit.
The Corsair HX620 is a great quality, modular PSU, that would be towards the top of my list.
The Silverstone OP750 will give you an enormous amount of upgrade headroom, but is at the ceiling of your budget.

All of these units are fine for gaming systems. Are you planning on upgrading your system significantly? All of these units are significantly more than is required for the hardware you have now.

hm Im just gonna get a new fan/heatsink combo for my cpu and MAYBE later later on upgrade my cpu to quad cores. But not anytime soon though.

Im also gonna be getting a couple more case fans.

That's about it. Also, if possible can you supply links bc I fail miserably at finding things when just the name is posted.

thanks!

If you're desperate for the LEDs, the OCZ GameXStream 600W is a good option, otherwise the Corsair HX520W is great.

You can see the key specs on the side of the Silverstone PSU by looking at the image. If you're going with a modular Silverstone, though, I'd rather get a Decathlon than a Strider.

Well I ordered the ocz gamestream 700W psu. I wonder how long it's gonna take to get here if I ordered it on sunday.

I also hope it fits in my case. I was in a hurry so I forgot to check that.

I got it :D

I wasn't here though and I think you can't go pick it up from those damn ups people! So I might have to wait till tomorrow to get it, damnit!
