All right. I've posted this on many forums, without getting a satisfactory answer. Maybe you guys can help me. Here is the question :
I want to capture video from my playstation 2 on my computer. OK. I have a GRAPHICS card (NOT a capture card, not a TV-tuner card, but a GRAPHICS card) : nVidia GeForce 2 MX 400. OK. I have recently ordered a cable from eBay : it is a PS2 cable with a an S-Video and a PS2 ending. OK. If I connect the PS2 with the graphics card using S-Video, will I be able to watch PS2 on the PC monitor AND make a video out of it? I have VirtualDub, a video capturing program. Please help me guys, I know you're the best!!!

Your Video card has an S-video OUT not in. Correct me if I am wrong. So therefor you can only see stuff out from your computer, not into your computer. :)

i used to record ps2 onto a video player just using a scart lead and that three way lead you know with white red yellow. Yellow is for video. Maybe there is a way to do it through a video player.

Are you sure? Does that mean I have to buy a Tv card?

And by the way, I've never seen a cable which is s-video OUT...and the card contains a scart hole, too, and as far as I know, there is no cable with a scart (yellow) OUT...it only exists in IN...

How about using this:

with an PS2>RCAcable:

and capture the video using the bundled software. I'm pretty sure that would do the trick.
