need real help

My CD/DVD Drive has suddenly stopped working
all it does when i put a disc in is flash 3 times and then........ nothing

i need real help

try it. there´s nothing to lose...

I had a drive that didn´t spin, that was because it was so dirty that it couldnt detect the cd. i opened it and cleaned the laser manually. now works 100%

if it´s a new drive, well then go to support.

i agree with most comments. I wouldn't bother with open the case though. there cheap enough. your best shot:

can of air (static free). any commercial shop like newark or office max.
it has an oil base. don't shake or hold upside down. open the tray and lightly spray across the laser lens. (soft spray). i do it often enough.
