need recommendations for new mobo

I built a new computer in November and my motherboard is having a lot of issues, I have decided it will be easier to get a different board. I will be replacing a Chaintech VNF-250 mobo. here are the specs of my comp.

amd 64 3000+ (754)
160 gb WD 7200rpm 8mb SATA hdd
2x 512mb Kingmax ram
opterite dvd burner
chaintech 5700LE graphics card
soundblaster live sound card

Chaintech won't repair or replace the board, and seems to be having numerous issues with it.
What mother board would you recommend? I mainly use this PC for homework and surfing the internet, but I do like to play games when I have time.

I think the Nforce3 250 chipset is decent and gigabyte usually make decent motherbaords.

i personally would recommend the dfi lanparty that I am using.....I am extremely pleased with it

The DFI Lanparty and MSI K8N Neo are both superb S754 boards
