Comp in sig:
Problem started as playing a game with sli enabled (if it was off I didn't have the problem on either card independently), then the screen would go black and freeze. ctrl+alt+del would do nothing. Eventually I would get back to the desktop saying that the nvidia driver had stopped responding and recovered but I would have to restart the comp otherwise it would freeze again. I sent it in to cyberpower and they replaced all the ram, sli bridge, and did a fresh driver install. Current problem is now the black screen but it stays there. I have done at least 3 formats and a bios update. I am at a loss of where to begin in the diagnostics department now. Can someone shine some light on this. I feel that when I call them tomorrow they will tell me to send it back to them. The last time they had it for 3 weeks. This is completely unacceptable. I am trying to be nice, respectful and patient but it is getting me nowhere. I contacted nvidia about a possible faulty driver. They tried a lot of things including new drivers and old drivers with no success. They have concluded that the video card(s) are bad. Cyberpower disregarded this and that is when they replaced the above components. What to do? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the post. No luck tho, I tried it but it was unsuccessful. It was a long shot anyway, I can enable sli its when I'm in a game that it crashes.

Can someone help, I'm furious about this. It is so frequent I'm about to throw this computer in the trash. A possible new symptom: I was playing Starcraft 2, my frames are always around 100, they dropped down into the low 10s and it wasn't even anything intense. I'm starting to lean more towards video problem but don't know how to test and prove it. I don't have a computer that will take the 295s and as I said in the first post when I only run one it seems fine. I considered that one of the PCIe 2.0 slots was bad but it did this on my old MSI board too and I have tried running it with only one card in the second PCIe 2.0 slot and it works fine. I can get newegg to send me a new MB and test it but I am so sick of taking it apart and putting it back together. When I was a mechanic if I had problems that kept recurring like this I would have drove the equipment into a lake the 3rd time and called it a day.

I would say a Power Supply/Driver or maybe even a heat problem. You got GTX 295s and a GTS 250 crammed in there. lol . Could be a driver hiccup/problem since its getting black screen/driver recovery. Power Supply would more than likely restart it or shut it down. But you still cant count it out.

The PS is a cyberpower 1100w. I don't know what could be going on with drivers I have tried old, new, and beta. It doesn't matter which one same thing happens. Sending it back in for warranty as soon as UPS store opens up. The guy I spoke with on wednesday said that he thinks that its a bad 295 but wont ignore anything else yet. He's going to put a priority on my system so it gets worked on ASAP but believe me I am not in a good mood!

Oh on a side note I don't think its temp related, CPU hasn't seen over 67*c on any core, and GPUs haven't ever hit 70*c I have tons of fans in there, its in my basement in a storage room that is about 55*f ambient...
