and output enjoy hd res on the tv, p.s im relatively inexperienced within display devices etc, so please keep answers idiot proof :P

thanks in advance :good:

if your computer has hdmi, and your tv has hdmi, then yes, you would be able to connect them for an hd signal.

If your computer does not have HDMI, you can buy a DVI to HDMI converter (your computer should have a DVI port, they are the white grid looking ports). You can get HD picture, but won't be able to use the TV speakers because DVI do not carry an audio stream.

Ok, so i tried connecting hdmi to hdmi (no adapters) and i get an unclear image (worse than vga) on all res, i have updated all drivers etc but still get a crappy pic quality

You need to do some adjustments on your TV then.
Also try just running one monitor ie your LCD and use the ATI CCC to set the resolution.
I was not able to find your LCD but I am guessing it will be either 1366x768 or 1920*1080.

Ok thanks for replys, i tried all res and settings
Through CCC and windows itself but no luck, there is a picture
And sound just its definately not HD bot even VGA, the colours look washed out and its really blurry, i looked in the TV manual and read "whilst this tv is capable of accepting a 1080p input, it is not capable of displaying the resolution and therefore the display will be scaled to fit the native resolution of the screen"
