Hi,
I currently have two 256 ddr ram sticks in my pc ,128 of that is shared with my video card, and im wanting to buy another 512 stick, now im wondering can i just remove one of the 256 sticks and pop in the 512 stick and everything go alright?? or if I removed one of the 256 sticks would my video card alright?? I mean would my video card still be sharing 128 of my now 3/4 of a gig ram???

It should work fine with the computer and i don't see why it would mess up the video card, I would try it, if it doesn't work then you can put the old RAM back in until you find a way to do it.

why not simply keep the 256 in? the more you have the better it is....
Also, you wouldn't have much problems with the intergrated videocard...
Cause having simply 512 MB when oyu have an 256 MB available is quite ironic :P

Just as long as your motherboard supports the increased ram, then you'll have no problem.

hey, go to this site...and try the test...it will help you alot....(you must know what is your computer model) Very simple! in 3 easy steps....

chrisdvd, thanks man that really helped and without knowing u also solved another problem of mine, my friend came over one day after me complaining about my video card and handed me a 128 mb agp slot video card, and i was like thanks, so we take the case off, and start to slide it in then, we notice that it wont fit and we are thinking wtf!!! the only way that lil guy would have fit would have been backwards and i dont think putting it in backwards would have worked lol, anyways with the system scanner, it tells me exactly what agp card i can get thanks a bunch.

no problem...i love that site....
and yes, i understand now about your 2 slot thing....too bad....
and it seems to me, that perhaps you will need a PCI card for graphics.... but not to sure...
