Hello, I've been wanting to add another video card to my computer aside from my onboard graphics. I went to get some information on several video cards and found a video card that really interested me, so I decided I was gonna buy it, but on the specificications of that card it says,"Memory Interface:64-bit", and I dont really know what that means and am afraid it wont work or somethin. I need to know if my computer can run this video card

I have an emachines T1742 desktop

I don't think that card will work in that computer. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that computer's MOBO has AGP slots, which will not work with that card because its PCI.

Oh sorry, yeah it has an AGP video card interface meaning you can't put a PCIe video card in there. You would be able to put a PCI card into an AGP mobo, considering most if not all mobos have PCI buses on them, but I wouldn't think that it would perform very well. An 8400GS PCIe card isn't really a top performer, so I don't expect the 8400GS PCI to perform too well. It would be compatible, but I don't believe it would be practical.

Hehe, my mobo doesn't have PCI. Just goes to show how old it is though.;)
I definitely agree with you though kookoo. I think you (luis) should probably go for a better card if your going to upgrade.
