need some help please

I bought a program that will clone an image of your hard drive. The only problem I 'm having is that it wants me to create a pch image file and I have no idea how or what a pch file is. The people that sold me the program are not very helpful and their help files are even worse. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help

From looking at it, it seems pretty straight forward. Are you wanting to back up your hard drive onto another hard drive, and are both installed an recognized?

want to backup from the hard drive to a image file that can be burned to a disk

So go into it, go to whatever takes you to backing up hard drives, and then select "Disk to Image". It'll probably ask you in what sizes to break up the image, or possibly just burn it for you. Describe what you're doing, and exactly where you are having a problem, and that would help a lot.

it is asking me to make a image file with a pch ext
and it does not tell me how to make one.

Could you take a screen shot of it? It seems to me like the program should be doing this for you.

I am at work now, it just comes to a blank screen and tells you to make a
image file

Are you going disk to image or image to disk? You should be going disk to image, but it sounds like you're going image to disk. Again, could you screen shot the message?

I am going disc to image , and I can't get you a screen shot at the moment beccause I'm at work . I will send one as soon as I get back home. Thanks for your help.

Problem solved, I found out that you must copy the image to a fat32 drive and then burn to a disc. Thanks for your help
