Need some help with Barebone kit...

I'm pretty new to the hardware scene and I need a barebone computer that is pretty basic and cheap, but still a good system. Does anybody know something that is good to tinker with and possibly that comes with some sort of newbie manual? I appreciate the help. Post back here, PM me, or email me at [email protected]

I'm from the US, and I don't really want to spend more than $200 or so, but if spending a little more would be better then I'm willing to.

I would not recommend a barebone, but a custom build... $250 can get you a good Dual Core custom build. Maybe not so much as in DX10 gaming and a awesome overclocker...

Thanks for the help. I'll wait to get some more advice before committing but this really helps. Can anyone give me some tips or a good site to go to on putting everything together. Like I said, I'm new at this so this is basically me just getting to know hardware better (and get a decent desktop out of the picture).

$250 can get a decent E2140... a cheap motherboard, 2GB, 80GB. I wouldn't go with AMD for some reasons right now. 380W is kinda low too... and you might be able to fit a 7300 in there...

I dun think 380W is too low. With onboard graphic, you don't need a very strong PSU. Also Antec EA380 is a 80plus certified PSU. I think it will be enough.
