Need some help with port forwarding Call Of Duty WaW

I can't seem to get the port forwarding to work. I choose the right start and end ports, I type in my lan ip, type in the service name... it still doesnt work. I read that you are supposed to enable static ip, but I can't do that and have working internet. Mine is set to dynamic, and as soon as I change to static it stops working.

My gateway is a netgear wireless router. Does anyone have experience with this game and wireless router that can help me?

is your router actually blocking traffic? you are changing your computer to static right, not your connection type to the internet? give us a little more detail on what your putting in
