Need some input for building a Fatal1ty themed computer

Ok, I'm new to this forum and just want to know if this build is going in the right direction. In terms of everything working properly together or known issues from a product that I might not know about. I know a fair amount if things about building computers. I have picked up parts here and there to start this build but nothing major. I have an AMD 1100T BE X6 processor I bought before Christmas, also I have a LiteOn Blu-ray / dvd burner drive. I also have some 120mm Massacool (if thats how you spell it) fans. Also have (2x) WD 500gb HDD that I will put into RAID 0 for storage. But this computer that I want to build, I want it to be awesome, not over the top AMAZING but nice for a "Fatal1ty" themed computer. So far here are the items I have picked out for it.

COOLER MASTER Storm Enforcer SGC-1000-KWN1 Black SECC / ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX PS2 / EPS 12V (optional ...

EVGA 012-P3-2078-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 448 Cores (Fermi) Classified Ultra 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP ...
Item #: N82E16814130758
$269.99

OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Modular Gaming 80Plus Bronze Power Supply compatible with Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 i5 i7 and AMD Phenom
Item #: N82E16817341041
$99.99

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
Item #: N82E16820233144
$54.99
**Note** I will buy (2x) sets of this ram but one with black heatsinks and one with red heatsinks.

Antec KUHLER H2O 920 Liquid Cooling System
Item #: N82E16835209054
$103.99
**NOTE** I am only getting this one over the Corsair one because this one lights up with Red LED ( keeping with the "fatal1ty" theme)

Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F120GBGT-BK 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Item #: N82E16820233191
$169.99

COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 120mm Case Fan 4 in 1 pack
Item #: N82E16835103052
$13.99
**NOTE** I just want to make sure I have enough fans, but I might pick up some red LED strips to stick into the case, don't know yet

So that is all the parts I have picked out, total is just over $1000, and as I stated earlier I just want a nice functional computer that can play games fairly well. I forgot to mention that I already have (2x) Gateway 23" 1080p monitors so I will be good there and also speakers I am good along with keyboard and mouse. Nothing over the top. Thanks and any constructive criticism would be nice.

Yep that's all good stuff there, but 750W may be kind of overkill for a 560 Ti 448 - can you get a Fatality 650 or 700W unit instead? Other than that, there's nothing I'd change if you want to keep the whole Fatality theme going on. :D Maybe the money you spend on a lesser PSU you could put towards a better GPU, something like a GTX 570 would be good, if not though, yes the 560 Ti 448 is a great card for the money.

Makes sense to use the parts you've already got in this build too. The X6 will work with that board and yeah those two hard drives in a RAID array sounds good. I recommend RAID-1 for data backup, that's mirroring the drives, so if one fails, you have an identical copy of the failed drive on the other working disk. Wouldn't use RAID-0/Striping for data storage, not as reliable - theoretically each drive is twice as likely to fail, but it would be faster, but for storage, go for RAID-1.

Ok, thanks, I didn't know about the power supply being overkill or not but I could just keep it in case I ever upgrade to a bigger graphics card or even SLI (2x) gtx 560's.

You can keep the 750W if you want, may be useful for the future in case you do decide to SLI a pair of 560s or get something bigger than a 448.

Are you going to use RAID-1 for data storage or are you still set on RAID-0. If your board supports it, RAID-10 may be a good option for you, I believe it provides the reliability of RAID-1 and the speed of RAID-0 in one, somebody please correct me on that if I am wrong though. Don't take my word for it, but you may want to look into it.

Well, I understand about the reliability of Raid 0, had that runnning my OS and then one of my WD HDD got some bad sectors and well use you imagination, lol, so I RMA'd it and now have one running my OS and another just sitting, kind of a waste I know. But back on topic, I would like to have the most amount of storage. Maybe in the future I could buy a large HDD or maybe external. I rip full Bluray's and then stream them to my PS3 and each file is 8gb for 1080p and 5gb for 720p and 3gb for DVD quality with over about 150 of those on my 750gb WD green drive, I'm out of space so thats why I was thinking Raid 0, but it would suck if i lost all of them. That would take a long time to re rip them all. But thanks for the help and I will look into Raid 10, but I need speed to be able to stream 1080p from a HDD since my Greendrive sucks at it, lol. By the way, I wander why no one else has a Fatal1ty themed computer, I can't find one anywhere.

Everything does look good. Be aware that two unmatched RAM sticks are not guaranteed to run with no errors. They probably will work, but there is a chance they won't.

If you want to keep with the red/black theme, something like this:

Probably won't look as cool as two different colored RAM, but an option.

And be aware that playing games at ultra settings at 1080 will use more than 1280mb of RAM. Mine maxes out at 1280 while playing BF3.

The rate of failure is increased by using a RAID-0 stripe, and there isn't that much of a speed difference to be perfectly honest with you. Honestly, you should go for RAID-1 because that way both drives are mirrored, so if one fails, you always have a backup, but yes with a stripe you'd get 1TB of storage whereas with RAID-1 you'd still only get 500GB. You may want to consider putting two 1- or 2TB drives in RAID-1, that would be a great setup and something I'd like to do one day for my machine.

Nice, wait for the GTX 600 series 660 ti, get two matching ram, we're is the cpu? You could get 2 4 gb sticks with no heatsink that are the same, then buy a red and black heatsink.

Ok, I will look into the ram issue and might try the G-Skill, I just never really trusted some of the brands but Gskill must have made a name for themselves. As for the Graphics card I can change it to one that has 2gb instead of 1280 or w/e it has. And in my description I said I already had an 1100T X6 processor. And maybe I could invest in larger drives or just get a NAS unit and not worry.

Be aware that there are no 560ti 448 cores that are 2GB. The regular 560tis are, which have fewer processor cores. If you want 2GB, a 570 has 2GB, but it costs $350. I'd wait to see what the new 6xx GPUs are like.

I'm using G.Skill RipjawsX RAM right now and it's good stuff. I'd recommend it. Looking through your description it sounds to me like you want to use liquid cooling to cool to the CPU, so having full-height DIMMs shouldn't be a problem for you. Sometime's with the aftermarket coolers, having full-height DIMMs can be a problem.

I'm not worried about the ram height, I am also going for liquid cooling and found a cooler that should work with no problems, its in my original list I made. It has a red led which will look nice for a "fatal1ty" themed computer. I wish OCZ still made their DDR3 ram, but I can only find that stuff at a very high price. They had the "fatal1ty" ram and I have some of their DDR2 in my computer and I love it.
