I'm currently in the process of getting a new gaming computer. I have a pretty old desktop now and I'm looking to upgrade for games like Skyrim, Rage, BF3 and others that are coming out shortly.

Any suggestions would be appreciated too. I just don't want to rush into anything without opinions of people that know what they're talking about.

Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor

Asetek 550LC Liquid CPU Cooling System– ARC Dual Silent High Performance Fan Upgrade (Push-Pull Airflow)

If you are going for a gaming computer then the Core i5 2500k is way more than enough.
2600k is overkill for gaming.DDR3 - 1600MHz won't be more expensive than the DDR3- 1333 so you can upgrade to a DDR3 - 1600.

I am not a fan of self-contained Liquid cooling systems.
Try something like the Noctua NH-D14/Thermalright Silver Arrow.
As for PSU 750W is overkill.
An XFX/Silverstone/Seasonic/Antec/Corsair 550W PSU would be more than enough and will support any single GPU out there. :D
As for the Sound Card, do you really need a sound card if yes then the newer creatives aren't that good. :D
And you should also have excellent speaker to take advantage of your sound card.
Also if you make the above changes and spend a bit extra then you can get an HD 6950 2GB. :D

Also which HDD would you be going with?
I would suggest something like Samsung F3 or WD Caviar Black SATA 6GBps.

And for OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64

OP, Whats your maximum budget for this build as it will be easier to see what the best for your budget is.

Do you need an Operating system? Hard drive?

Did not see any listed. :)

As for soundcards, I personally would not recommend any Creative cards these days because of their crappy drivers; Get something from the Asus Xonar series line.

if you've got enough to get that stuff, then you might as well take advantage of all that cpu power and throw in a small ssd to boot from, you can get like a 64gb on sale at newegg for a little under 100.

Not sure about the HDD, I'm just going off what I picked on iBUYPOWER.

For the PSU, it recommended a 650 Watt for everything I got, so I don't think I can go below that.

The liquid cooling is what I've been going back and fourth about. I've read good and bad things about it. The one I picked out can supposedly run for 5 years of constant use, so for an average person, 11 years.

Those PSU recommendations are always overkills.
A 550W would be more than enough for any single GPU config,as any other member on this forum would confirm.

And do not get anything from iBuyPower.
Its more like Ibuy and no power.
Many member ordered computers from there and many of theirś computer turned out to be dead at arrival.
I would suggest building your own.
You will save some money and also would know what you are investing into and also you ensure the quality of the parts.
