need some tips plz

hi I bought a Compaq armada 4160t for text wrinting and internet. Its not a very fast laptop, but he does the job. there is just 2 detail that i cant get rid off.
1- When the laptop is ON , there is a little sound in it, like beeeep beeeee, and its very annoying, and I wanna know if one of you could know how to fix that.

2- When I watch video, I hear the sounds, but I only see the first image of the video. I think my laptop is OK to watch video. Maybe the version of media player will do something?

1- is the beeping contant? does it ever stop? when does it start?

2-what kind of video? like a dvd, or a downloaded video? and check the website for an update of ur media player.

The beep starts as the computer is open and it never stops until I turn it off
and the type of video Is the video I steam on a webpage, like on www.big-boys.com
