Need suggestion

I have 2 gaming comps.

1 with
antec 900
E8500
had a 4870 upgraded to 4870X2, put back the 4870 in here currently.

and I'm building a new one with
CM storm scout
i7920
trying to put the 4870X2 in here, but having fitmit issues with the cooler on it.

Question is if I'm unabe to get the card to fit in the new i7 build what card would you suggest. I'd want somthing equal or better than my 4870X2 and then I'll sell the 4870. Oh and I'd like to keep the price under $400.00.

Nvidia's GTX 480 is the best single-gpu in the world right now.

Only 499$ for the best. Or, you can wait for the price to lower.
 
The 5850 is $300 and the 5870 is $400. These two ATI cards still represent the best value in their category right now.

The GTX480 is the fastest single GPU card, the 5970 is the fastest GPU. I like when people try to say but the GTX480 is faster at tesselation. The 5970 is the fastest card, it will change in the future, just not now.

You didn't only insult me personally without any reason, but you also stated that you had 470 first and for some odd reason compared the MUCH lower end version of fermi to 480. Whats your problem? whats your issue you so much want to forward? I do not tolerate this and i will forward it to the moderators.
 
O.K. guys chill just asking for suggestions not a debate:D. I appreciate all your input, I do want to keep it under $400 so I guess the nvidia is out. I did have all nvidia in the past, the last 2 cards I bought were ATI because of this forum. I can say I truely do not like ATI drivers, but they're getting better. I guess this mean I need to sell my 4870 and 4870X2 with cooler. Any idea what these would go for used? The 4870 is from my july 08 build that I didn't use the comp until 09 and only for about 4-6 months before putting in the 4870X2 for the past 6 months. I think I'm going to buy a 5770 and 5850. Or keep one of my 4870 cards and buy the 5850. Really no need to buy a 5770 now that I think of it for my E8500 build I can just put back in one of my old cards.
 
This whole thread and I decide to cut the HD case to make my gpu card fit. I'm sticking with my 4870X2 as of now. Thanks everyone for sharing.
