Need suggestions for my first build...

Hey guys, I need some suggestions for my first ever build. I kinda have an idea but the are alot of things to take in consideration.

First, I have around $900-$1000 for the build. I want it for gaming of course.

Second, the electricity where I am from is very weak. So I don't think anything too big won't work because electricity here fails.

I've seen Quad Core processors that only use 65W. Should I take them in consideration?

Around a 9800 GT will work for me.

If anyone could give me an idea for a good build It will be very apreciated :).

Thanks!

If you want to spend less, go for Phenom II setup

Phenom II 955 + GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P + 2 x 2GB RAM

It should come down to approx. $810

Hey thanks for the suggestions. I forgot to mention a few other things. I really don't like Radeon Cards I really want Nvidia. Also, remember that i7 consumes alot of electricity (if im not mistaken).

it's a 130W quad core that's not that bad =]

Well compare 130W to 65W. Man I don't know i7 is good im gonna think about it... :P

Core i7 is currently the best desktop CPU.
if you don't like 4850, just get a GTS 250.

If you care for the power consumption, CPU go for AMD Phenom II X4 905e, HDD get Western Digital Caviar Green series, PSU go for ENERMAX PRO82+

IF you're worried about uninterrupted power - I'd look at a Battery Backup Surge Protector outlet. APC has some good ones. I've got an APC 350 on my PC - mainly to keep from having to reset my surge protector when the lights flicker or power goes out during a storm.
