I've been pushed back and forth from lappy to build comp (see other threads below) Finally i have decide on a comp. I play Crisis, Halo 2, Supreme Commander and i am going to use it for school work. I am currently away from home and was going to wait until a few days before i get home to start my thread but i don't know when i'm going to be able to get internet. Here's my previous items That will build my comp. The price for the comp has gone down since last time i worked on it. Their might be some changes like maybe a better moniter, video card, case etc.

For 1500$ you can build a KICK ass comp. If you can wait a few weeks or so DX11 cards will be out so maybe build the comp minus GPU and use the stock IGP for a while till dx11 is out.

The internet here stinks so these are the product numbers on newegg. I tried using it from my other forum but no avail

case: Item #:N82E16811103027

Mobo: Item #:N82E16813128378

Vid. card: Item #:N82E16813128378

Power supply:Item #:N82E16817189017

proccesser: Item #:N82E16819103675

Moniter: Item #:N82E16824236053

Proccesser cooling: Item #:N82E16835233029

I looked at the parts list you posted...not a bad build but not what I would do with $1500. Take a look at this set up and see what you think.

Case: GIGABYTE Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower for $140
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811233026

PSU: CORSAIR 750HX for $165
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R for $195
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128375

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 for $280
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115202

RAM: G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) for $115
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231247

GPU: Gigabyte 4890 for $200
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125276

Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar Black for $70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320

CD/DVD: Samsung for $27
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151187

Monitor: Asus 22" for $170
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236050

Keyboard: Logitech G11 for $59
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126009

Mouse: Logitech MX518 for $40
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178

This comes out to about $1450...this thing would embarrass the computer list you put together. The power supply is plenty strong to run another 4890 with no issues. In a few months you could add another.

As far as sound card and speakers...that can be something you add in the next few months also.

Few things, number one i alreadyy bough the terabit hardrive, sorry forgot to delete that out of my list. Two, i'm not sure intel is the way to go i know it's very overpriced and i think my Amd core is a little bit better, not a big difference but i don't plan on over clocking. Most important the case i got seems to have much better fans attached to it. I know its not that important but i'd like my case to be cool if possible. Know that if it has, say more room and better fans on one and the otherr looks cool i'll take the one with better equipment. I know nothing about the mobo, ram looks good. I don't need a mouse i bought the logitech g9 and loved it. Keyboard looks good.

Here let me make my previous posts easier to read

Probs.

1. My case is better then the one u showed it has more fans.

2. Don't need hardrive or mouse, already bought.

3. I would like some processer cooling, the dark night one that i found is adequate.

Concerns
1. Not sure Intel is the way to go, heard that it's overpriced but better.

2. If possible i'd like a cool case. Not at all important but if possible.

Actually, at the $1500 pricepoint core i7 is the way to go:

Is that processer cooling better then the dark night one i had before? Also is the video card better then the one scout showed me? With intel vs. A.M.D. what is the equality rate ex. intel 2.0ghz= A.M.D. 2.6?

Phenom II is nowhere close to a core i7, phenom II is roughly similar to the core 2 quad.
oh. also that vid. cards out of stock
Wait for it to come into stock? Its the best 4890 out there, it has some capicator that supposedly helps overclocking(not sure how true that is), but also has a cooler far far superior to the reference cooler.

You said the video card was out of stock, so i recommended a gpu. The other statement, any sata dvd drive should work just means pick out a sata dvd drive that is in stock at the time with decent ratings.
