Need to build laptop from scratch

Hi

I want to build the laptop from scratch. Can you suggest some website which explains the process in detail ? I don't like the configurations of the branded laptops which are on the market. I am in Mumbai, India.

Try googling "build own laptop". There are a number of guides. It's not the same as building a desktop PC. You have to buy as a minimum a bare bones laptop that you add components to .
 
yeah thats the most common kind, a barebones kit where you get the main laptop unit with board, screen, keyboard assembled, and you choose and add processor, memory, hard drive, and optical drive, far better then you can hand pick you own components, although as nanobyte has said its quite different to building a desktop, so download a step by step guide if its your first experience with a laptop, and you will def need some small specialist screwdrivers.
 
thanks guys, but I checked at Lamington Road, which is like IT hub in Mumbai and couldn't find barebones laptop. I found some decent laptops and I have decided to go for a branded laptop.
