Need to help a friend choose a graphics card

I am helping a friend build a computer under a small budget, and I recommended the gtx 660ti but he is worried it will bottleneck his 3.3 ghz CPU. Will it? I am totally unsure.

You need to provide more information about the cpu, such as its series.
Ex. i7, i3, i5 etc in case of intel or in case of amd Phenom 2 x6, fx 8350 etc...

If hes playing at 1080p, a 750Ti will work fine.

The 660ti is old anyway, don't recommend it. A cheap card would be the r9 270x or the 750TI
