the hardware in it is outdated, but it still explains how to pretty well.

You don't *NEED* a new cooler, but it is deffinately recomended, otherwise you won't be able to go very far because the heat of the chip will cause an issue.

Prolimatech, Xigmatek, CoolerMaster, Artic Cooling, Zalman, Thermalright are some brands that make decent heatsinks. For some pretty decent benchmark results:

The actual results are here:

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...k=view&id=285&Itemid=62&limit=1&limitstart=14

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...k=view&id=285&Itemid=62&limit=1&limitstart=15

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...k=view&id=285&Itemid=62&limit=1&limitstart=16

I am aware that this is a Socket 1366 test and he will be running an i5, which is on socket 1156, but just about all heatsinks are interchangeable and results just about don't vary at all for how well they perform compared to each other

now my cpu run at 2.66ghz, how far it can be and normally people do OC it to? i need guide to OC, because of zero knowledge on it, i've google it bfore but it is hard to understand.

btw im using LGA1156 socket, those cooler that u asked to review are all for LGA1136 isn't? is it still the same?

oupss, just realize that u already provide the
Overclocking 101 (Oc101) link to refer, thanks a lot. :D
