i just got my 1090t and hw monitor, speed fan, and everest all say that my cpu is idling at 17c and under load gets to 24c. please tell me that their is something out there that will read my temps accuratl;y, and if not, what can i do to get an idea of what my temps are. i have a thermomiter probe from one of my front panels, with a screen to show temps. can i strip of the orange plastic coating and expose the thin metal wire inside and stick the probe between my cpu and heatsink?

If all of those are showing the same thing, then you will probably have a hard time finding one that shows the correct temp.

You could check the temps in the bios.

so i just figured out which cpu tem is correct. in hw monitor, the label tmpin0 is my cpu. although the individual cored are of by about 10c, the tmpino reading is for the cpu as a whole. hope this helps others that are wondering what reading to use on their amd cpu
