need to make pc faster

hi i was wondering how you make your pc faster because it is so slow. :confused: in my recent post it was IE7 but it is the whole computer. i have 512ram and 13gb HD. bit small but im getting another one.

Any help would be appreciated;)
 
for a start remove all unwanted programs from add or remove programs in the control panel, this will increase performance greatly.

Do a disk defragment.

Do a virus scan, adware, spyware scan.

Remove all temporary files.

You could use a tweak or system cleaner tool, clean up registry etc.
 
is probably the drive's low rotational speed and cache also the drive being full will degrade performance.
 
If you want to spend money you could buy another 512MB of RAM.
What type of processor do you have?
Try downloading and running CClearner it will clear out all your junk files.
Uninstall programs that you dont want. Open up task manager and see what things are running in processes. If you don't know what something is google it. See what is using lots of CPU and memory and see if you need it, if you don't then remove it.
