Need to open .pdf on Vista

You are welcome, usmcscout123.

And yeah , PC Eye is right , you probably need to upgrade the Reader to open files on Vista.

What I see often with software installers is the Adobe 7 reader version and then suddenly see the prompt to download and install the latest version. By going directly for the latest version available like the 8.11 now out you can uncheck the install Adobe now option when installing your programs on Vista there. The other option would be to disable Adobe in the msconfig to stop the update popups from appearing.

i have been running vista home premium 32bit since shortly after release, and use adobe reader almost daily. try reinstalling, it should work fine.

i just posted a link, see my thread in this forum. I would have posted it hear but i didnt see your post. Its called foxit reader. Much faster that adobe, and smaller. I like it.

The same edition here during the first full week after 1/28/07. The Adobe reader is the most commonly used reader in Windows since 9X-ME. Besides Fixit along with the Acrobat reader there are actually several since pdf files are multiplatform not just for Windows. They can read in Linux too! :D http://www.flora.ca/pdf.shtml
