Need to Purchase a new computer?

I am needing to purchase a new computer and am not sure if I want to go with an IBM again or Mac. I have heard good things about a Mac but not sure how software converts over. I am running Office 2003, Outlook, and other Microsoft software. I work primarly with excel, word, website design, some photo editing. I also will need to open files from Microsoft office from other users. How well does a Mac do this? Am I going to have to buy all new software?

Do you have any suggestions as to what to purchase? In the IBM or Mac. What hardware would I want to get? Do I want to stay away from the 64 bit and stay with the 32 bit?

Oh so many questions:confused:. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am wanting a desktop not a laptop.

Thanks!!

Microsoft has it's Office suite available on Mac's as well, and a similar program to Outlook which is called Entourage I believe. Adobe also creates photo editing software for Mac's.

IMO, Mac's are great laptops, although can be overpriced if you only use it for basic office and internet use.

mac can be good

do u like changing your hardware alot, if not then a mac would be fine, but
go to a apple store and play with a mac, they are different from windows, both have good and bad aspects, I like windows more than macs but still use them b/c is have too for school.

Macs are very good for what you are going to be using it for go for one!

You can buy Mac Office 08 which is the new office of Microsoft just compatible with a mac.

And mostly most editting software you can get for mac so go for a mac!
