Need to repair or reinstall windows xp

I'm trying to get my old pc up and running again I was updating my drives and some how deleted an important dill file.

Do you know where I can download a recovery cd for xp?

Are there any other steps I need to do?

well if you know what the dll is called and where it is out of you can download it and replace it.

Is this on a prebuild or custom build there? For a single driver file run a search with the exact file name to locate a download site like http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/index.shtml

For creating a recovery disk a company will have methods for creating a set for a preinstall. But for a custom build having a full install disk onhand in case of any need to see a new copy of Windows go on is the obvious there.
