Need to upgrade, what can I use?

Hello all,

Here's the scoop ... I recently acquired a Compaq SR1010Z computer, completely stock. Even though this computer isn't exactly for gaming, it's what I have to use for now. I've already upgraded the RAM, so I'm okay there.

I believe this computer comes standard with an SiS video card, but the problem is, the game I want to play needs a little more so it will stop crashing on me. Are there any recommended video cards to stick into this thing to make it a little better? I know these computers are pretty proprietary, but I need to try and spice it up a bit. It was a free computer and all!

I've heard that I might be able to stick a Radeon 6800 in there, but will even THAT be too much?

I appreciate any help anyone has to offer, thanks. :)

you could put a Radeon 9800/GeForce 6600GT in if you like. On the lower end I'd say a 9600XT. It comes with an option for an FX 5500 but that is probably too weak if you play serious games
