Need Urgent Advice, laptop on sale , need quick help

Laptop on sale at walmart today and my friend is really reallyw anting it , I talked her into waiting and letting me post the information here before she continued to buy it.

Here is the stats on the computer

$398.00

Acer as3680 2682

(1.86) GHz 533 MHZ

FSB , 1 MB L2 Cache

512 mb of DDR2 Memoroy

80 gig hardrive

WIndows Vista Home Edition

Intel Celeron M Processor

802.101 b/g Wireless LAN -- THis means she will be able to connect wirelessly through my computer correct ???



Pleaset help guys ,s he is wanting to go get this tonight


Here are her primary uses for this computer

Micro Word - , usign it for work documents ect.

wants to be able to burn cd's and dvd's , (which i know the software to burn dvds doesnt come with the computer buyt i have that )

download files on the internet fast.

thats pretty much it , she wont be playing games or anything like that on there.



let me know if its a good price and what quality it sounds like



cause she is wanting to go get this tonight

well

well we didnt get any help , so she went ahead and went and bought it


everything works fine , however after the computer boots up , it says thank you for purchasing or something like that ,and there is no way to get it off unless you control alt delete and end task

is there a way to keep that muessage from coming up
 
I dont see anything wrong with that system for what she will use it for and it seems to be a decent price.

is the screen that pops up want you to register the laptop ?
if so it should have a way to regester it and then go away.

if not look in the startup in the start/programs menu and see if you see it if so you can right click on it and delete it.

or browse to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and see if its there and delete it

or not sure if this is the same for vista as it is for xp cause i have no desire to use Vista at this time.

in the run box type msconfig and under the startup tab find the item and unselect it. once you restart you should get a box saying the cinfig has changed and you will have to select to not show this again.

hope this helps cause i have never even touched Vista ..EWWWWWWW :D

its called acer launch , im going to try to get rid of it ,

it didnt ask me to register,



Shes just a little upset caue she couldnt figure it out
