Need Urgent Help Please

Hi, two days ago my laptop was running completely fine, I checked my e-mail and browsed the internet with ease. But then yesterday in the morning I started up my computer and was browsing through the web and I clicked a link for something i was looking for. My internet browser page went blank and an error message appeared. The message said something like drivers ide and sata failure.

I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Removed the infected files, I restarted my computer and the error messages dont appear anymore but my desktop icons\background are still gone and so are all the icons from the start up bar.
What can I do to get these back?

Download and run UNHIDE.EXE

Then download HijackThis from HERE

Install HijackThis and accept the terms. Click on Do a system scan and save a logfile. Post the log file in this thread.

I ran unhide.exe and it worked, my desktop files are back but my startup programs are still hideen i guess. I did a full scan with Malwarebytes' and no infected files were found. My computer is back and running normally for the most part.

You still want to run HijackThis to be sure there are no traces of the virus left on your PC.

Please scan your computer with HijackThis and post the log here. That way we will be able to help you out better and determine if you are still infected or not.

Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces.
