Hello im new here. im building a comp i got everything connected. but the problem is i cant turn it on. theres power to the motherboard the lil light comes on but i cant get it to turn on. so if any1 has any idea wat the problem is and has a solution. please help me! thanks. fyi first time building a comp.

Check to make sure the 12v cpu feed four wire Molex type power connector is plugged in and even try unplugging it and then very lightly replugging that back in if already plugged in and recheck the small wires for power, reset, Power and hard drive leds. http://www.computerforum.com/80790-bad-board-simply-need-replug.html is one thread on just that.
Make sure you plugged in the front pins (switch, restart, leds, ect)

hmmm....its the lil square lookin 1 right? there was like 3 of those. and i think i was only trying one of them. thanks alot.
The link there was what was seen when simply going to swap out one supply for another where "nothing worked"! A loose contact inside the four wire 12v cpu feed was all it was. When I unplugged and simply tried only finger lightly pressing it back in until the plastic retainer clicked wwwwhamoooo... everything fired right up. At first it looked like a bad supply.
Point in question was on the new buiild recently assembled where the board quit after only 3 days of use. For the current build that meant rmaing a board fast to see one that has been good ever since. The idea is to rule any reversed wires for the front panel or seeing it was something stupis like a loose contact before assuming the worst.
