Need your opinions...

Ok, I need your opinions obiviously. I have a new case and I wanted to get your thoughts on what I should put in it. I have 2 computers both of which are pretty powerful for the price I spent on them. Should I put this system(look at my sig for the generic specs) or the system with a P4 at 2.4 Ghz which runs about 10°C cooler than my P4 at 3.0 Ghz HT? I'm also going to swap the memory and video card depending on what I do. Oh and I'll mainly be playing games, surfing the net, and listening to music. And will HT really make a difference when playing games?

One of the reasons I am thinking about doing this is because the system with the the P4 2.4 was my very first build(sentimentality sucks) and the build with the P4 3.0 was built by someone else who almost fried my processor and overclocked it w/o my permission.

You probably think I'm crazy and you are probably right...

put the better proc in the new case. overclocking doesnt hurt a processor THAT much... as long as you dont get alot of errors.
either way, put the better hardware in your new case...

put the pentium 4 with HyperThreading in there. it wont help with games now but it will when they are multithreaded.

Id take the box with the Pentium4 3.0 HT, those 10C can be shaved off with some good cooling no sweat

sentimentality sucks
Ya, get over it :D

Did you sue them then? If not then it prolly wasnt enoughof a big deal :P

Uh.... you dont have to get errors for a chip to die...

Games ARE multithreaded now. :) It also helps when a system locks up so you can actually kill processes and stuff.
