Hey guys

I was wanting to upgrade my PC, but i was advised to just get a GPU, and wait for teh release of Bloomfield (LGA 1366)

What will be so good about Bloomfield?

Will the boards Utilize DDR3?

How expensive will the new CPU's and boards and stuff be?

Should i wait it out, and get a Bloomfield system, or just get a X48, Q9450 and ATI 4870?

Im gonna overclock my PC even further, I just need a better cooler. So i dont mind sticking with it...

Thanks guys

odds are its going to be way over priced for a little while, as far as i know they're going to be ddr3 only, so you might be better off going with an x48, and if you can swing it, get the 4870 x2, that way you can always get crossfireX if you decide to

Intel is apparently gonna make DDR3 the standard, so DDR3 will drop to DDR2 prices (maybe a little more)

But do you think I should wait? Cause i Have no probs with my rig now, im just gonna get a 4870 and when i get my new rig, transfer it...

So Im sure i can wait a year at most...

if you've got the cash, then yeah just get a 4870 now and wait awhile, maybe overclock your cpu a bit more for some added juice.
