Nero...burn successful, but disc is then blank?

Alright, I tried creating a data dvd using Nero and it goes through the whole burning process. It says it was burned successfully upon completion but when I attempt to view what's on the disc, it is blank.

Hopefully you have good knowledge with Nero and know why this is happening...I'd really appreciate it because I'm trying to backup all my .avi files on to dvd's (data). Thankyou for your time.

My first thought was you might be doing a simulated burn(I think that's what it's called) If I recall, it basically just checks that the burn would be successful, but never actually burns any data... There's probably a check box somewhere on the burn page.

stupid little error to do, which sometimes happends and piss you off, see too that you have selected to burn to DVD, not CD, when you use start smart, or smart start w/e
