Nero - Burning Video Files to Disc?

greetings again,

......from dvd discs i own and purchased, i have "extracted" all the files from a dvd disc to a desktop file folder.

.......the question is, how do i get them onto a blank disc using nero?....i tried fooling with it (nero) and when i did it (before any attempt to burn to blank disc) gave me a message that "the compilation would not result in a dvd compatible with viewing on a home dvd player".

.....what did i do wrong?....any step by step would be appreciated or a suggestion to use another burning software (except windows software) to accomplish this task. thanks for any help you can give or supply!:)

well, i own the disc. so, pm me with the details or do it via e-mail. i am asking/doing nothing against forum rules.

in nero there's an option to "burn dvd files to disk." just drag and drop

*optional* if possible change the bitsetting to dvd-rom. this step depends on the manufacturer of your burner and your firmware.

if nero still gives you that error message just ignore it.

then test it out on your dvd player. newer players will be more compatible than an older player.
