Nero install trouble

Hi,

I was installing Nero 7 premium on my pc when a dialog box appeared that said

"Could not open key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Run. Verify thay you have sufficient access to thay key, or contact your support personnel."



After thay when i hit ok, all the action is rolled back and the installation fails.


So now, how can i overcome this situtation?
 
it could also be your virus software not allowing the nero installer to access that part of the registry. turn yoru virus software off while installing nero see if that works
 
i dont have any antivirus installed on my pc....also i hav used the same installer before thrice and it worked perfectly!!

Has the installer failed more than once? If you haven't tried a second time, I would reboot and try to install again. Sometimes systems just do weird things and the next time you try, all is fine.

Also, I would recommend getting an antivirus program. AVG is good and has a light footprint.
 
I had overcome the problem by restoring the system and it worked well.....i have nero installed.......But then again, i dont know how this thing happened again.....and this time i dont want to restore my system......Can this thing be cures through registry editting?
