Hi everyone. ive been using cracked nero vision for a while now. but now it is saying my copy is illegal as if my serial number expired or they updated their 'cracked serial numbers' database. does this happen to anyone else?

anyway. my real question is if there is any other, preferably free, programs that work like nero vision. where i can join 2 half movies in avi or mpg form. or make compilations of mpgs/avis like tv shows or whatever.. preferably without menus if i don't need menus.. ANY help would be really appreciated. thank you...

Heh, good thing you weren't asking for help on how to get around the crack. Nice save with the request for a free program.

Windows Movie Maker (included with XP) works with .avi files :)
"You can import files with the following file name extensions into Windows Movie Maker to use in your project:

Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf
Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv "

i tried windows movie maker and powerproducer gold that came with my comp. neither will give a consistent video or audio quality. either the audio is out of synch, or the video is stretched and distorted.

any other programs that work like nero vision that will let me do the things posted above?! thank you..

just get a dvd player that plays computer video formats

you can get one for as little as $40, and the quality of having an mpeg-4 decoder in the dvd player itself is a lot better than reconverting the videos on the computer

just my $.02
