.net framework 1.1 to 2.0?

so i recently purchased a ati x800xl. and i have been having a whole bunch of problems with battlefield 2 and half life 2. Battlefield crashes and i get this c++ runtime error on half life 2.

I was just wondering, cause when i first installed my ati it said i needed .net framework 2.0, but it installed anyways so i never did install it. Do i actually need to install .net framework 2.0, for my card, like could this be the source of all my problems?

The .net framework shouldnt matter... but try that. Do you have the latest Catalyst drivers for your card?

Net framework 2.0 os seen with the file name dotnetfx when downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...cb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&DisplayLang=en Newer games like HL2 and others seem to require this. It's a good idea to backup a copy to a folder in case you still need to install it.
