.NET Framework Initialization Error

I just downloaded 3DMark11, and this is the error i keep getting.

To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET framework:
v4.0.30319
Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET framework.

I installed that .net thing but i keep getting the same error.

Has anyone experienced this and does anyone know how to fix it?

Download this version if you haven't already as there are many version of net framework.

And then go to windows update and check for updates as there are security updates most likely for it and then retry opening the application.

aww man its still not working, im just trying to get 3Dmark11 to work. not really sure what to do now. Thank you for your input though.

64-bit?

I can see a lot of posts on Google about very same issue on Windows 7 64-bit.

For some people, installing Service Pack 1 helped.
Do you have it installed?

im not sure how to check, also could it be because i have the 4850 x2 gpu? dxdiag says its direct x 11 but gpuz says direct 10

Please download MiniToolBox and run it.

Checkmark following boxes:

• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click Go and post the result.
