Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a netbook for taking to meetings, researching in library etc as my laptop battery only lasts for about an hour now.
I'm looking at the cheaper end of the market. I am looking for a good battery life, so one with a six cell battery, reliable/sturdy design as I will expect it to last for years, good looks and Windows 7. I would prefer a N450 processor as that seems to be the most current.
Here are a couple I have picked out:
HP Mini 210-1000sa - £220 - N450, 160gb 5400rpm HDD, 1gb RAM, bluetooth, card reader, webcam
HP Mini 210-1009sa - £225 - as above but with 160gb 7200rpm HDD (worth the extra fiver I think)
HP Mini 210-1011ea -
£240 - as above but with 250gb 7200rpm HDD
Asus Eee PC 1005P SeaShell - £240 - 160gb 5400rpm HDD, 1gb RAM, webcam, card reader
The thing that I am unsure of with the HPs is the battery sticking out of the back. I am going to go down to Currys or somewhere to check them out over the next few days.
How does the build quality compare? Also the HP range proper confused me as the model codes do not seem to relate to any features!
Can anyone recommend a better netbook for a similar price?
Cheers, Doug.
