Netbooks.

well there are lots of threads out here with same question or theme .... check them out.....
definitely dell will be within one of my choices, and sony viao hmmm think abt it too.

Yeah, my mate has an Asus n10Jc, it's a good netboook. I'm not overly fussed about graphics though, because I only going to be using it for uni work (documents,MATLAB, etc etc) and internet. Any gaming is done on my desktop.

I wouldn't bother getting it because it'll be too expensive for me. They're saying $499 rrp over in the U.S meaning 800-900 in Australia.

I read $449 USD, but then again an N10J is like $700usd. The ideapad S10 is a great standard netbook though;)

Thats not a bad price at all. But jesus, 12" screen? Is that even considered a netbook anymore? I really like my 9" screen, it allows this computer to be so small.

Well, i personally wouldnt mind a 12" screen even though then its technically a subnotebook. As long as its lighter than my current 10lb zd8000 or brick of a laptop presario 2500 then id be all for one of those if i had the cash.

i'm currently looking into the dell mini 10v. the only drawbacks to the regular 10 is no hdmi. but it has a removable ram that can be upgraded to a larger size.

oh, they both don't use a cpu fan. so things should be very quiet

I think most of the netbooks are good but please dont buy a netbook which has atom processor since atom processor processing is very slow..
