So i have a netgear WPN824v2 router i am on virgin media cable internet and here is the problem,I have two hard wired pcs attached to the router and one wireless pc and what happens is when both hardwired pcs are on the internet the router will randomly drop one of the hardwired pc so it cant get on the internet, Also if one of the hardwired pcs is on call of duty 4 online the other pc cant join the same server but can join other servers this also is random please help.
 
Sounds like the router is the problem for sure... Can you check for a newer Firmware for your model?

are you sure it's not something simple like a dodgy ethernet lead!!? you did say it all happens randomly ;)
 
Yeh it does happen randomly and i changed the cables and updated the firware its really getting annoying i even put the router on a laptop cooler in case it was over heating.
 
how old is the router?? if it's under a year old then it should be covered by gaurantee ;)
 
I bought it in pc world and i whent in there yesterday and told them and they said because i paid cash and dont have the reciept they couldn't help me.
 
believe me bud... even if you had the reciept PC WORLD would still probably refuse to help you !!!

the only way would be to buy an identical one and then get someone to take back the faulty one in the new ones packaging and ask for your money back ;)
